Nick-ed up

Giants star WR Hakeem Nicks is out for the last game of the season, and an important game at that for a broken toe.  He is a part of the list of the evolving injured Giants WR this year.  It's almost ridiculous how injured this team is at this position.

Speaking of injuries, C Shaun O'hara won't play this week with a leg injury.  This is like the millionh time he's missed a game this season.  I still think it was a coaching mistake to play him the past two games, knowing how important the gaames were to our playoff future.

Will Blackmon placed on IR, KR/CB Brian Witherspoon signed

It's not surprising Will Blackmon was placed on IR.  He has missed a number of games to what seems like a serious injury.

I Hope Everyone had a Good Christmas & have a Good New Year

Let the celebration begin!

Well we can only pop bubbly for the new year.  For this Giants team, they've squandered TWO opportunities to officially make the playoffs.  The lost to both the Eagles and the Packers.  Now they have to depend on the Bears to beat the Packers and MUST win in D.C. to have a chance in making the playoffs.  Good thing is that the Bears are going to play their starters and WANT to beat the Packers in order to sweep the NFC North division this year.

The Giants CANNOT worry about that game, only the fans!  What they must do is focus on this last game and win.  If they don't make the playoffs, at least they went out in style and have something to look forward to next year.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! What The Hell Happened

I can't believe we allowed the Eagles to score 28 points in 7 minutes!  Where did the defense go.  Although right now I can't even look at P Matt Doge, I can't fully blame him for this lost.  We got outcoached and outplayed.  We took off our foot from the peddle and were arrogant.  We thought our lead was enough, that we could do anything an we would win.  We CHOKED!  Plain and simple!

Our chance for a first round bye is gone and if, yes if we make the playoffs, we may have to play against Philly again at their home.

Even with a large lead, we still can't beat the Eagles.  I don't know what they have over us.  I really don't!

Eli played well with 4TD, although he allowed a pick - it didn't cost us.

I'm disgusted with the defense.  Brilliant first half, they SUCKED the second half!

We just have to move on.  Let's see if we're strong enough to finish the season strong.  Greenbay is a MUST, MUST win!

Game Thread: Giants vs. Eagles

We need this game to get a first round bye.  Hope we can do it!

Giants Rout Vikings in Detroit

The New York Giants enjoyed a comfortable win over the Minnesota Vikings monday night.  The W 21-3 happened at Detroit's Ford Field where fans of various football clubs enjoyed a free ballgame.  Tickets were given out 9 A.M. at the ticket booth in front of the stadium and it recieved an overwelming response.

Giants quaterback Eli Manning threw for 187 yards, with two interceptions and one touchdown.  Both picks occured in the first half of.  The touchdown happened in the end of the first half to TE Kevin Boss.

The real showstoppers of the night was the running game that ran for over 200 yards, with both Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw running for over 100 each.

14 - 3 Running Rules Giant Lead

B.Jacobs - 5 Rush, 83 Yards 1TD
A. Bradshaw - 5 Rush, 30 Yards

Memo for second half:
Eli, PLEASE STOP forcing throws!  XOXOXOXO

Brett Farve INACTIVE!

For the first time since 1992, Brett Farve will not be starting as quaterback for a team.  His 297 consecutive starting streak is OVER!

Since his Week 13 injury in the Vikings game against Buffalo, word was mum that Farve was going to play or not.  On Sunday Farve texted USA Today, the national newspaper that if the game was originally played on Sunday, he wouldn't have played.  Well today, he's officially inactive with a shoulder injury.

Vikings QB Tavaris Jackson will start for the first time since 2008.

Kickoff is Soon!

After the uncertainty about where the Giants/Vikings game would be played, the NFL has confirmed that the game, which was originally was supposed to be played on 12/12, at 1 p.m. is going to be held at Ford Field in Detroit.

The Giants are still in Kansas City, but are scheduled to arrive in Detroit tonight.

Giants/Vikings Rescheduled for MONDAY!

The NFL just confirmed that the Giants/Vikings game is now scheduled to be played Monday, at 8 P.M. EST, locally.  The reschedule reasoning is still conflicting, but one excuse is due to the amount of snow accumulating on top of the MetroDome (Viking's Stadium).

This gives the Giants extra rest in case many players are jet lagged.  It also gives players like Percy Harvin and Brett Farve extra rest to play on Monday.

This also makes this upcoming weeks practice shorter for next weeks game against division rival, Philadelphia Eagles.

Thank God we're playing at home!

Giants DELAYED in Kansas City

The team's plane was diverted in Kansas City today because of the ongoing blizzard that is tormenting Minnesota right now.  The Giants were stuck at a terminal in the airport and the latest is that they plan to sleep over in the city and take a charter to Minnesota at 8 A.M.

The weather is expected to clear out Saturday night.

The game is still scheduled for 1 P.M. EST.
